An excellent review of “Hunter’s Moon” appeared today, August 4, in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. I’m thrilled that it was written by a woman, which suggests that this very masculine book crosses the gender divide.

You have so captured the essence of the UP. I grew up in Ishpeming and had a wonderful childhood in the midst of God’s country. My father belonged to a hunting ‘camp’ that even came with its own chef during deer season! I was never invited – just my brother – because I was a girl. Thank you for Hunter’s Moon!
Thank you for this. If you wish, you could do the book a lot of good by posting a brief review on Amazon.

You just can’t beat that for a review, the inexpressible joy of having someone understand what you are saying and realizing it’s because you are saying it well.
